Symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy
Numbness and Tingling
A persistent or intermittent pins-and-needles sensation in the feet, toes, hands or fingers — often worse at night. One of the earliest signs of peripheral nerve damage.
Burning or Electric-Shock Pain
A burning, stabbing or electric-shock-like pain in the feet and legs, particularly at rest or at night. This is neuropathic pain — different from musculoskeletal pain.
